Hello welcome to my Blog

Mezze is widely served in the Greek and Middle eastern world. An assortment of little dishes and tasters which accompany a nice ouzo or a glass of wine. So when you read mezze moments you will have tasty snippets of life as I live it, India for four years and now Brisbane Australia, all served up with some Greek fervour and passion.

The lure of the ocean

As I walked down the expansive and wonderful Kirra beach, near NSW,  I stepped on a BEE. What it was doing there I will never know. Not even a sting could take away the joy of being by the ocean and enjoying the sea breeze.
So for today's blog a lovely collection of treasures, including an ordinary shell positioned in the sand as if that is the only place it could be, a curious crab, seagulls gossiping, a rare nudibranch, https://simple.wikipedia.org/wiki/Nudibranch, the serenity of twilight and fishermen, the natural rock pools that people delight jumping into, sourced from the ocean, and Frog Beach (look out for the Green Rock).  These rock pools are just below Danger Point, aptly named by Captain Cook as he sailed up the Eastern coast looking for safe harbours to come into. This wasn't one of them, but either side, expansive and wonderful beaches with nothing but squeaky halloumi sand for miles and the shadow of three enormous sting rays as they traversed the blue.

With thanks to our lovely Paul Perret and Robyn Jaques for hosting us in such a beautiful spot.
